Ha Giang - Sapa 4 Days 4 Nights

Trip Itineray: Ha Noi – Ha Giang City – Quan Ba - Yen Minh – Lung Cu – Dong Van Town – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Nho Que River – Meo Vac –  SaPa - Ha Noi.

20h30: Pick up at our office in Ha Noi Old Quarter.

22h00: Departure from Noi Bai airport.

23h30: The bus stops at Tuyen Quangrest area.

03h30: The bus drops you at our office in Ha Giang City. Here we provide a complimetary room for you to rest a few hours before your trip.

07:00: Have breakfast at the hotel.

07:30: The car and tour guide will pick you up. Then, there is a sightseeing trip to Ha Giang Loop:

  • Km0 square: This is the Ha Giang center and the starting point of the road named Happiness, spanning from the city to Meo Vac town, covering a length of 175 km.
  • Bac Sum Pass: the first slope welcoming you to the "Dong Van Karst Plateau GeoPark."
  • Heaven’s Gate Quan Ba: Here, you can stop and take pictures of the beautiful Nui Doi twin mountains view at the top of the slope.
  • Can Ty Pass: with an altitude of 1000-1200 meters above sea level. You can admire the beautiful and majestic scenery.

12:00: Have lunch with local food at Yen Minh small town, then continue the trip.

14:00Tham Ma Pass: we can stop at the top of the slope and enjoy the beautiful view. Before that, you have to go through 9 interesting passages.

15:00: Visit Sung La valley and Lung Cam - a small village with classic Hmong houses. Typically, you can visit the house named after Pao’s house.

16:00Lung Cu flagpole – here, there is a beautiful Lo Lo Chai village located at the foot of Long Son mountain, the home of the Lo Lo minority people. The village still features unique houses and friendly people. You can visit here on foot.

17:30: Arrive and check-in at a hotel (or homestay) in Dong Van town.

  • Dong Van district is the starting point of Vietnam, with a border stretching hundreds of kilometers with China. The population mainly consists of ethnic minorities such as Hmong, Tay, Nung, Lo Lo, Co Lao, San Chi, San Diu ... but the majority are Hmong (about 70%). The most famous area is the Dong Van Old Quarter, a major trading center since ancient times. On Sunday mornings, there is a bustling market where local people from everywhere gather to buy and sell.

19:00: Enjoy your dinner at the Old Quarter. Later, you can take a walk around.

07h00: Have breakfast at local market and a coffe. Then driving on the road with special name “Happiness” (On Sunday mornings, you can attend the local market of ethnic people at Dong Van town)

08h00:Ma Pi Leng Pass – At an altitude of over 1200 meters above sea level with a beautiful mountain view, below is the Nho Que river. Then this is a great place for sightseeing and taking photos. Also here you can stop and have a cup of coffee at the Panorama Coffee (this one you pay by yourself about 60.000 VND)

09h30: We visit Nho Que river by boat. Then the Meo Vac town.

  • Meo Vac town – Meo Vac is a highland district adjacent to China border. The district has a sparse population and is dominated by the Hmong people, accounting for about 70% of the population. Hmong people have the custom of living on high and dangerous mountain ranges.

(on Sunday mornings, they gather to trade and meet at Meo Vac town market)

11h00: Visit Hmong king’s palace – in the past this was the residence of the most powerful of the Hmong people and was considered their palace at that time, in a unique Chinese style.

13h00: Have lunch at Quan Ba town.

16h00: Arrive Ha Giang cityYou can wait at our office for the bus that will take you to SaPa.(we have rest room for free)

 Option 1:

16h00: Limousine Bus takes you from our office to SaPa town.

22h30: Arrive Sapa town,check in hotel and have a rest. Then, enjoy your free time.

Option 2:

20h00:Sleeping bus will pick you up at our office. (Say good bye Ha Giang and go to SaPa)

03h00: Arrive in SaPa town. Our local guide will wait and pick you up there to check in hotel.

07:00: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.

08:00: Your local tour guide will pick you up to start a 2 km trek to Cat Cat Village of the Black Hmong tribe. Along the way, you'll have the opportunity to visit the SaPa market, where three ethnic minority groups sell or exchange their products such as vegetables, woven brocades, handicrafts, embroideries, and traditional clothes. Afterward, continue walking through the villages to witness a beautiful waterfall and a power plant built by the French during colonial times in 1925. Spend 40 minutes enjoying performances by boys and girls from the village. Then trek 3.5 km back up to SaPa town.

11:30: Enjoy a picnic lunch by the riverside or have lunch with a local family on the way to Sin Chai Village, which is 3 km away and situated at the foot of Fansipan Mountain, known as "the roof of Vietnam and Indochina."

14:00: Return to SaPa town. Here, you can choose to purchase tickets for the Fansipan cable car (price: 850,000 VND – self-payment) or opt to freely explore the town.

19:00: Enjoy dinner at the hotel or a restaurant. Afterward, you're free to explore SaPa town, visit the market, and go shopping. Stay overnight at the hotel.

07:00: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.

08:00: Embark on a 12km trek down to Muong Hoa Valley. (This valley is renowned as the most beautiful in SaPa, where local Hill Tribes live and work on the Rice Field Terraces.) Trek downhill through Ylinh Ho and Lao Chai Villages via a small trail for 3.5 hours, arriving at a steep mountainside adorned with terraced rice paddies cultivated by an ethnic minority group. Here, you'll learn about the unique customs of the Black Hmong people.

12:30: Have a picnic lunch by Muong Hoa stream. After lunch, continue trekking along the small terrace of Rice Paddies with Hmong People to Tavan Village, home to the Dzay Tribes.

14:00: Transfer back to SaPa town. Enjoy free time to explore SaPa Town. Return to Hanoi by bus.

20:00: Arrive at the bus office in Old Quarter Hanoi.
