Tour Itinerary & Price

06h30: The bus picks you up at your hotel in Ha Noi Old Quarter.

(Note: Our bus can pick you up at Noi Bai International Airport or at another location in the city; please tell us before.)

11h00: The bus stops at Tuyen Quang City for rest.

13h00: Bus arrives in Ha Giang City. Enjoy your lunch at our restaurant. After lunch, our bus will drop you off at the hotel for check-in and rest.

15h00: Tour guide picks you up at the hotel to visit around the city:

  • Km0 Milestone, Ha Giang Provincial Museum, Cam Son Mountain View.

  • Thanh Thuy Border Gate—Chinese border.

  • Thon Tha, Ha Thanh Village. This is a small, beautiful village about 6 km from Ha Giang City of Tay people. There are still ancient houses on stilts, terraced rice fields, and most importantly, a beautiful waterfall that provides a pleasant walking experience.

19h00: Have dinner and come back to the hotel. This is usually done after having some free time.

06h30: Have breakfast at the hotel.

07h30: The car and tour guide pick you up. Right after that is a sightseeing trip to Ha Giang Loop:

  • Km0 Ha Giang. This is the Ha Giang center and the starting point of the route of the road named Happiness from the city to the Meo Vac town with a length of 175 km.

  • Bac Sum Pass—the first slope welcomes you to the Dong Van Karst Plateau GeoPark. At this point, we just drive through.

  • Heaven’s Gate Quan Ba—Here you can stop and take pictures of the beautiful Quan Ba Twin Mountains at the top of the slope.

  • Can Ty Pass—with an altitude of 1000 to 1200 meters above sea level. You can admire the beautiful and majestic scenery.

12h00: Have lunch with local food in Yen Minh, a small town. After lunch, proceed with the rest of the trip.

14h00: Tham Ma Pass—we can stop at the top of the slope and enjoy the beautiful slope. Before that, you have to go through 9 intriguing passages.

15h00: Visit Sung La Valley and Lung Cam Village—This is a small village with traditional H'Mong houses surrounded by stone fences. Typically, you can visit Pao's house.

16h00: Visit the H'Mong King’s Palace—in the past, the building was the residence of the most powerful of the H'Mong people and was considered their palace at that time, in a unique Chinese style.

17h00: Arrive and check in at the hotel in Dong Van town.

  • Dong Van district is the starting point of Vietnam, with a border stretching hundreds of kilometers with China. With a population of mainly ethnic minorities living there, such as H'Mong, Tay, Nung, Lo Lo, Co Lao, San Chi, and San Diu, most of them are H'Mong (about 70%). The most famous is Dong Van Old Quarter; since ancient times, this has been the major trading center of the whole region to this day. On Sunday mornings in Dong Van Old Quarter, there is a market of locals from everywhere flocking to gather, buy, and sell.

19h30: Have dinner at the Old Quarter. Thereafter, you can walk around.

07h00: Have breakfast. After we check out of the hotel, we will then go to Lung Cu.

On Sunday mornings, you can attend the local market for ethnic people in Dong Van town.

08h00: Lung Cu Flag Tower—Here, the Lo Lo minority people reside in a beautiful Lo Lo Chai village at the base of Long Son mountain. The village features unique houses and friendly residents. You can visit here on foot.

11h30: Come back for lunch at Dong Van town. Then driving on the road with the special name “Happiness.”

13h30: Ma Pi Leng Pass—The Nho Que river flows below at an altitude of over 1200 meters above sea level, offering a spectacular mountain view between Vietnam and China. The pass is a wonderful place for sightseeing and taking photos. Additionally, you have the option to stop and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee at Panorama Coffee, which you can purchase for approximately 60,000 VND (~US $1.5)

14h30: We visit the Nho Que river by boat. Next, we visit the town of Meo Vac.

16h30: Arrive and check in at the homestay in Pa Vi village, Meo Vac.

19h00: Have dinner at the homestay and relax here.

07:00: Enjoy breakfast and check out of the homestay before returning to Ha Giang City. During the journey, explore:

  • Meo Vac town—In a highland district adjacent to the China border, sparsely populated and predominantly inhabited by the Hmong people, constituting about 70% of the population. The Hmong have a tradition of living in the high and challenging mountain ranges. (On Sunday mornings, they gather for trade and social interaction at the Meo Vac town market.)
  • Lung Tam village—A handicraft village of the Hmong people in the heart of Lung Tam valley.
  • Nam Dam village—A beautiful and serene small village of the Dao people, approximately 2 km from Quan Ba town, famous for its houses built with local soil and herbal medicines.

13:00: Enjoy lunch at Quan Ba town.

16:00: Arrive in Ha Giang City and wait for bus pickup at our office for the journey to Sa Pa. (We provide a free restroom.)

Option 1:

  • 16:00: A limousine bus will pick you up from the office and take you to SaPa town.
  • 22:30: Arrival in SaPa town, check into the hotel, and have spare time.

Option 2:

  • 20:00: Board the sleeper bus from the office. (Bid farewell to Ha Giang and head to SaPa.)
  • 03:00: Arrival in SaPa town. Our local guide will be waiting to pick you up and assist with hotel check-in.

07:00: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.

08:00: The local tour guide will pick you up for a 2-km trekking excursion to Cat Cat Village of the Black H'Mong tribe. En route, you'll have the opportunity to visit SaPa market, observing three ethnic minority groups exchanging various products such as vegetables, woven brocades, handicrafts, embroideries, and traditional clothes. Explore the villages to witness a beautiful waterfall and a power plant constructed by the French during colonial times in 1925. You'll have 40 minutes to enjoy performances by boys and girls from the village before trekking 3.5 km back to SaPa town.

11:30: Enjoy a picnic lunch by the riverside or opt for lunch with a local family on the way to Sin Chai Village, located 3 km from Sin Chai; the village is situated at the foot of Fansipan Mountain, known as "the roof of Vietnam and Indochina."

14:00: Return to Sa Pa town. Here, you have the option to purchase tickets for the Fansipan cable car (price: 850,000 VND—self-payment) or freely explore the town.

19:00: Enjoy dinner at the hotel or a restaurant. Afterward, you're free to explore SaPa town, visit the market, and indulge in shopping. Stay overnight at the hotel.

07:00: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.

08:00: Embark on a 12 km trek down to Muong Hoa Valley, known as the most beautiful valley in Sa Pa, inhabited by local hill tribes working on the Rice Field Terraces. Trek downhill through Y Linh Ho and Lao Chai Villages on a small trail for 3.5 hours, reaching a steep mountainside adorned with terraced rice paddies cultivated by an ethnic minority group. Learn about the unique customs of the Black Hmong people.

12:30: Have a picnic lunch by Muong Hoa stream. After lunch, continue trekking along a small terrace of rice paddies with H'Mong people to Ta Van Village, a village of the Dzay Tribes.

14:00: Transfer back to SaPa town. Enjoy spare time to explore Sa Pa Town. Return to Hanoi by bus.

20:00: Arrive at the bus office in Old Quarter Hanoi.
